Luciana was brought up at home in Rome with her grandparents. Luciana's father was Manlio Paoluzzi who was an Italian military officer. Her maternal grandmother was Maria Rota Paoluzzi who was once one of Benito Mussolini's lover's wives. It's not clear if she has any siblings. Luciana is the only female who has graduated from her high school class in Milan. Luciana also studied nautical engineering at the time. She began her modeling career within two years. Then, it changed when she received her first acting role by accident when she visited her father's Rome friend. It was a two-line character in Three Coins in the Fountain. Her initial husband was Brett Halsey who is also an actor. After their wedding in 1960 they produced a film together called Return to the Peyton Palace. Luciana received custody of the children following divorce. They welcomed a baby boy called Charles which was born June of 1961. Luciana who was a performer and producer was a part of Tony Athony's band from 1962 to 1970. Tony Athony had been attracted by Luciana's performance in Green Slime.
