Coleman is from Lancashire. She graduated from Arnold School Blackpool, where she scored straight A's for the A-levels she took. As she discussed her Emmerdale character she expressed her regret at having not attended a university. Coleman, while still at High School, was a student of a theatrical company called In Yer Space. They staged the play Crystal Clear for the Edinburgh Festival. The performance received praise with a prestigious award, and the production was praised by the critics. When she was auditioning for drama schools, Coleman got the role of Jasmine Thomas in Emmerdale in 2005. Coleman won two awards in 2007. Coleman received two nominations in 2007 for Best Newcomer in the British Soap Awards; and the most Popular Newcomer for the National Television Awards. In 2009, she received nominations in two categories: Best Actress-Sexiest Female and Best Performance Dramatic. Coleman got the TV Choice Awards nomination for Best Actress. Steven Moffat, the producer of Doctor Who confirmed in a 21st March 2012 press conference that Coleman will play Matt Smith's character following the departure of Karen Gillan left. Moffat picked her to play the role because she worked the best alongside Smith and was able to talk more quickly than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Since 1987, she's participated in TV and film projects. She has been much more prominent on TV as opposed to films. Eva has appeared in a number of television roles, but Dr. Maria Santos from All My Children and Detective Natalia Boa Vistas of CSI Miami have stood out. Her first TV role earned the show two Daytime Emmy nominations, and gave her the opportunity to explore her passion for music. Eva is also a philanthropist, entrepreneur and an philanthropist. She was married three times and also has a daughter with her previous husband.
