Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise has been a performer, writer, and actress in the US for more than 40 years. Most famously, she is known for her role as Ginger Grant (in the 60s TV show Gilligan's Island). Bettle's Two's Company musical was the first stage production in which she appeared during her stage debut. Following that, she performed on Broadway in various shows until the year 1957, when Li'l Abner made it huge at the National Theater. The same year, She recorded her first album of songs, called It's the Time for Tina. Her debut appearance in Hollywood was in the role of Griselda in God's Little Acre which was a 1958 film. The film received widespread acclaim. Louise won the Golden Globe Award under the New Star of the year category. Louise enrolled in Actors Studio, New York during this period and became Lee Strasberg's teacher. The next memorable role she played was in 1964. She was signed by CBS for the role of Ginger Grant. Louise Balfour managed to juggle between Broadway as well as Hollywood portraying somber character as against her famous image as a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1 and Helen Magnus on Sanctuary. In recent years, she's also become an acclaimed director of well-known TV series like Supernatural as well as The 100. Born in Essex in Ontario on the 28th August 1965, her family moved to Toronto at the age of three. She spent her childhood in Toronto and through her teenage years. Samantha Carter was chosen in 1997 for the part and has been settling down in Toronto ever since.
